Personal Training Experience

August PT graduate of PCI Online

“Hello, Charles. This is Daniel Johnson, and I was in your PT online class with PCI a few months ago. Actually, I guess it was only till January or something like that. Tricia Cates filled in for you after a while, but I had you earlier in the process. Not sure you’ll remember me. . .I finished my PFI Bootcamp in August, and I took my NSCA certification test while out there (black guy with locks). I just wanted to tell you that I passed my exam . . .WHEW!

I wanted to tell you that I had passed, and thank you for being so cool about encouraging me from the very beginning, telling me that I would do well. I know I was stressed about it, but I had a lot riding on it and it was just important to me that I did a good job and felt confident once I started training people that I at least knew a LITTLE about what I was talking about. . .hehehehehe. The whole reason I went with NSCA through PCI was to have some degree of accountability in terms of what I was responsible for learning and understanding for the exam (and ultimately who I was responsible to), as well as throughout the process of course study. Anyway, I don’t know how I’d have gotten through those first few months without you there to say, “Keep going. . .you’ll be fine”, because there were a million times, even before I got to Vegas, when I really didn’t think I WOULD be.

I’ve been meaning to write you for a while now and just haven’t been able to get to it, but I have remained grateful for your help and encouragement.

I’ve been working at a gym in Nashville, called “GO, Performance and Fitness.” I’ve actually been quite fortunate in terms of securing clients, and feel blessed to currently have a base of about 10, keeping me fairly busy. I hope for about three more to be right where I wanna be, I think, so things are going well. Hopefully, that will continue through the challenging holiday season, but I’m enjoying the experience nonetheless.

At any rate, just wanted to thank you for all your support and help. I, as well as many of the other online students, thought the circumstances of the online class program were not conducive to us doing our best. However, I recognized the vital role you played in my success. If it weren’t for you, I really don’t know that I’d be where I am. It may not have seemed like it at the time, but I really appreciated you very much and still do.

I hope all is good for you in your professional life and with your family.

God bless. Be well. -dj.
